Edinilen bilgilere göre, operasyon İl Emniyet Müdürlüğüne bağlı ekipler tarafından gerçekleştirildi. Ekipler FETÖ silahlı terör örgütü üyesi olma suçundan 2016 yılında hakkında işlem yapılan, örgütün sözde öğrenci mahrem yapılanmasında yer alan ve 6 yıl 3 ay hapis cezası ile aranan G.U., isimli şahsın peşine düştü. Şahıs kent merkezinde yakalanarak gözaltına alındı. Aynı zamanda örgütün haberleşme programı olan Bylock kullanıcısı da oldu belirlenen şüpheli işlemlerinin ardından sevk edildiği mahkeme tarafından tutuklanarak cezaevine gönderildi.
